Working with a holistic nutritionist will involve an extensive information gathering visit which will allow for the assessment of symptoms, health concerns, health and lifestyle history, dietary restrictions, current state of health, and current dietary practices. From this information, the nutritionist will be able to better assess which imbalances exist within the body and the root cause of those imbalances. If the body has the proper tools (i.e, nutrition, lifestyle changes) to heal itself, the body will heal itself.   6. Marlee, we look at all fruits and vegetables as a whole being good for you when rotated and eaten plentifully. If I had to tell you to add ONE to your diet it would be greens like kale and chard, the whole family of them. Eating seasonally and locally also helps because the different vegetables in season do more to help protect your health than trying to eat “superfood” blueberries in the middle of winter when they come from Chile.
