Sea Life Hand Print Update

One of my favorite pieces of artwork in our house is Riley’s Sea Life Hand Print.  In the next month we’ll be back some updates to our bathroom during our Babymoon staycation.  That’s right this diyer has decided that instead of going away for a Babymoon, Joe and I are going to  get some much needed projects done while Riley spends a long weekend with grandma and grandpa.  This piece will remain the focal point of the bathroom, especially with it’s spray painted frame update.

Riley and I made this piece of art work last winter and she absolutely adores it.  She loves pointing out each animal and telling you what animal it is and how she made it.  She was a bit concerned when I took it down to spray paint the frame to a more suitable color.  The lollipop obviously helped fix that situation though.

I can’t wait for the rest of the updates that we’ll be making on the bathroom.  I’ll be sure to show them off.  They’ll be some of the last updates that we’ll make before the baby comes in May.  I already have some crafts in mind to incorporate Riley’s and the new baby’s finger and hand prints so keep an eye out after the baby comes.  It’s highly likely that we’ll be working on a foot stool for Riley’s room.  In the meantime, here’s Riley’s Sea Life Stool that works wonders in motivating Riley to brush her teeth.

It’s so cute and she is absolutely adorable! I really like the idea of framing the kids art an putting them in the house. My baby girl doesn’t do that yet but I’m probably going to be in love with anything she makes. Thanks for the sharing! (Sorry if I make spelling or grammar mistakes I’m Venezuelan :P )

  4. I love how this turned out! My boys love ocean animals and would love to create hand print sea creatures! Love it in the frame!
