I wanted to take the time today to welcome all of the new readers to The NY Melrose Family. We are growing in more ways than one here and I wanted to give everyone an update on all of the things going on here.
To start off with I’d like to introduce you to my little munchkin. She is my bossy helper who is soon to be a big sister. This picture was taken back in December at her Cupcake Fairy Birthday Party where she turned 3 years old. She continually keep me on my toes and is normally always in the kitchen with me helping when there is some type of sweet being made. She especially loves cupcakes like our Easy Baby Ruth Cupcakes.
By day I am a working mom as a reading specialist and by night I am a lifestyle blogger mom that shares Crafts, Recipes and Party Planning Ideas. We love to share our holiday tutorials, such as our Shamrock and Irish Blessing Plate.
I host a weekly link party for other bloggers to share their latest posts that goes live Tuesday night at 6:45 EST. Whimsy Wednesdays has grown so much that I have added a fabulous co-host, Kelly from Smart School House also posts the party and shares her own features. The party gives an opportunity for double exposure. I post my features on Monday from the party in a separate post from the party. The best way to get to the party on time is to subscribe by email for free. I use a fabulous email service that drops my posts in your inbox as soon as the post publishes. This way you can make sure to have the most up to date post at your fingertips. I am also extremely active on social media and ran a popular series on Social Media Tips.
I currently work with various media groups to promote various brands. I also love working with shop owners and bloggers who are looking to promote their brand. You can find my advertising info here. My name is Camila, I’m a mum of a 15 month old baby girl Emma and a wife of a wonderful husband. I’m living in a new country (Spain) since 2011 and I’m having something like a clean start. I’m building up my business from the very bottom because nothing here is really mine. I’ve always liked crafts, since I was very little I was already sewing, and painting or drawing stuff, I used to make greeting cards from anything I could put my hand on just to have something to give to my friends or family! But time passes, we become professional, start working and everything changes so crafts became a once in a while thing. Now since I’m a house wife and I wanted to help out my husband with the expenses and keep my mind and hands updated I started again crafting with cards and home stuff and that led me to the blogging thing which I’ve liked A LOT! I enjoy making DIY tutorials, and writing about experiences and researching about things that helps crafters

Cami you are too sweet. I got back to my creative side once my daughter was born too. I want her to remember that the things around our house and special occasions were that way because I helped make it so.
