About

My name is Jenny and I am a working mother that enjoys staying active.  My family consists of my wonderful husband, Joe, my beautiful daughter, Riley and baby #2 on the way here in May.  I enjoy every precious moment that I get to spend with the two of them and want to hold on to the memories.  I strive in life to be able to always look behind me and smile.  I hope that my lifestyle blog will help others do the same.

I have a knack for organizing and actually find it soothing.  I love to see the transformation of a space and how it can actually make life easier.  Riley and I are big fans of crafts, especially ones that involve her.  We love using her little hand and footprints in our projects.  I have always loved decorating for any holiday.  It’s even more fun now with Riley because it becomes part of our family tradition.  As a mommy and teacher, I have insights and opinions into parenting that I enjoy sharing because I know I’m always looking for insightful parenting ideas from others.  I wasn’t always much of a cook, but I’ve improved a ton and I love baking pretty things so I’m usually the go-to girl for parties.  You can find all my Party Projects by theme listed with images so that it’s easy for you to put the perfect party together.  I also have a knack for social media and try my best to share what I have learned, in order to help other bloggers.  My social media series was largely successful and keeps bringing readers back.

“actually find it soothing” – I desperately wish this was contagious! ;)

  2. Jenny,
I’m now following you too. Thanks for your interest. I actually live in East Fishkill but East Bakekill didn’t have a nice rung to it so I used my mailing address for a better name. We are a lot closer than any of the other bloggers I’ve seen.

You definitely right about your daughter – very cute.

I love your blog and clever ideas like the doily wrapped vase. Now I know what to do with some antique ones stashed away. My grandkids love their Cookie Flower Bouquets and hope you’ll enjoy reading this post too. http://retireforthefunofit.com/2013/04/15/cookie-flower-bouquet/
