An Indulging Spa Party is the perfect way to relax and enjoy the company of friends and family.  I definitely love planning a party.  From the food to the decor I just love to see it all come together.  I recently co-hosted my first Make & Take party where all the guests left with spa items that used my favorite Young Living Essential Oils as a key ingredient and we had a blast.

Indulging Spa Party

We hosted our Indulging Spa Party as a brunch so muffins, cookies and finger foods were on the menu.  We actually incorporated our Young Living Essential Oils into our menu since there are quite a few essential oils that are food grade.  We incorporated orange, peppermint, lemongrass and lavender into the recipes of our foods.  When I started on my journey of using essential oils, I had no idea that I would be able to incorporate them into food.  Let me tell you though, I’m experimenting in the kitchen and loving it!

Make and Take Set upWith all of the fabulous finger foods we needed the perfect beverage so I made sure to bring my  Lavender Lemonade.  It was a huge hit because the taste was perfection, but the aroma was intoxicating.  I can’t remember the last time that I was this relaxed and I honestly believe it was largely due to the lemonade.

Tara used her peppermint essential oil and made Thin Mint Cookies.  She even made a gluten free version, which was much simpler than I thought.  The only difference is that you use gluten free crackers.

We wanted our guests to truly understand how many ways that they can use their Premium Starter Kit so we made sure to place the oil that we used in each recipe next to the food.  We also let everyone choose the oil that they wanted to use in their Bath Bombs {recipe HERE}.  We used Fillable Plastic Ornaments as our mold and I brought my Neon Food Coloring for fun Spring colors.  We also used this time to explain some of the benefits of the oils.  A huge hit in the Bath Bombs was Joy and Lavender.  Nothing quite puts you in a good mood like Joy and Lavender.

We tried to keep all of our spa diys as items that could use any oil.  The Lavender Rosemary Salt Scrub was a huge hit and was easy enough for the guests to put together.  We packaged them in Plastic Containers that were the perfect size to bring home.

The other two diys that we did were a bit more involved.  My favorite was definitely the Sachet though.  I used Citrus Fresh in mine and it’s like smelling spring time every time I open my drawer.

We made the event about relaxing with friends and just simply chatted about how we’re using the oils in our everyday lives.  Our stories, of using lavender in a carrier oil to help with Avery’s dry alligator cheeks or Tara using panaway to help with the pain in her knee from a torn meniscus, helped our friends begin to ask questions about ways that they might be able to use the oils to better their health and well being.  We made sure to have our resource guides available so that they could see how great the starter kit was.  They were all most impressed with all of the educational material that was provided in our March promotion, which {whisper voice} you can still get your hands on.  Just look at all that you get!
