Apple Monsters

Ready to start a new Fall tradition? These Apple Monsters with Marzetti Old Fashioned Caramel are fun to make and eat.

Over the weekend we took the girls and my nephews apple picking.  It’s a little different apple picking here in the south.  When we lived in NY it was usually in the 60’s and I always had pants on.  In the south, it’s 90 degrees and I’m in a sundress and flip flops.  The apples are in season so much earlier down here, but it’s great for carving apple monsters because the kids got to enjoy them outside.

Any time I think of apples, I immediately think of caramel apples.  Let’s be honest though, those can be tough for kids to help with.  Not our apple monsters.  I simply carve a mouth into the quarter apple and then the kids get to go to town with using the Marzetti® Old Fashioned Caramel Dip in the mouth to hold in the good teeth {mini marshmallows} and the rotten tooth {bite size Snickers cut in half}.  Add candy eyes and sliced Twizzlers and you have one crazy looking Apple Monster.

When we don’t have time for making Apple Monsters, Marzetti® Old Fashioned Caramel Dip is perfect for simply dipping.  It enhances the flavor of the apples and is a fun fall tradition that makes for rich family moments.  You can always rely on Marzetti® for a thick, creamy caramel dip.
