Holiday Hosting Tips

There is nothing more that I love than party planning.  It’s just a passion for me or I might even call it an addiction.  I pay attention to everything to the serveware to the little details like napkins and centerpieces.  In my past Party Projects I leaned heavily on my Party Planning Guide Printable to keep me organized.  The issue I run into is that with Riley’s birthday smacked right in the middle of Thanksgiving and Christmas it often makes holiday party planning difficult.  Luckily, Bed Bath & Beyond has you covered with their Holiday Your Way tips.  Plus, you’re able to add to your Christmas list at the same time.  I know I certainly did!

Holiday Hosting Tips

Holiday hosting is about having fabulous recipes {such as my Christmas Tree Pinwheels}, but also an ambiance that is largely created from the details that the host puts into the party.  One great tip that was offered was to use serving ware that fits the food so that it looks full.  In other words, smaller is better, which is why I added tasting dishes to my Christmas list.

Another fabulous tip from Bed Bath & Beyond’s Holiday Entertaining is the best way to stock the perfect bar for a holiday party.  It’s important not to think that you need it all, but there are some definite essentials that you will need in order to keep the guests’ glasses full.

My absolute favorite tip goes back to the little things that tie a party together so well.  I’ve always wanted to know how to create the gorgeous napkin folds that you find in nice restaurant, but I always thought it would be too difficult to try.  Luckily, this infograph breaks it down into 6 easy steps.

You can find these and many other tips that will help you prepare for your holiday party.  What are your go-to tips for holiday party planning?

  1. Looks very inviting! I have a similar drink area in my home. It’s a piece that opens up as well. I just may make better use of it this year by opening it up and more inviting. Good ideas…thanks!
