How to Organize Yourself as a Busy Mom

All winter long we dream about summer and how great it is going to be.  We think to ourselves, “there’s going to be so much time” or “we are going to get so much done.”  Then a week into our “summer vacation” has turned into a black hole of who knows what?  We find ourselves putting out “fires” all day long, entertaining our bored kids, and thinking to ourselves, “I cannot wait for fall”.  It really doesn’t have to be this way.  Wishing and hoping for the next season or area of our lives.  I want to share with you how you can organize yourself like you never have before.

How to Organize Yourself as a Busy Mom

I’m sure you’re thinking, what does organizing have anything to do with my bored kids during summer vacation.  It literally has everything to do with your bored kids during summer vacations.  So often we are reacting to everything that is going on and we aren’t putting systems and a plan in place so we don’t have to live by reacting to the next crisis.  That’s no way to live and there is a better way.  You’ll definitely want to stay until the end because there’s a FREEBIE that you’re going to completely love!

So before I get into talking about how you can actually have a lovely summer vacation without pulling your hair out because you’re so frustrated, I’d like to introduce myself and share with you why you should even listen to a word I’m saying.  But before I do, I would like to thank Jenny for allowing me to share this with her lovely audience.

My name is Jenn and I run a blog called Home by Jenn.  On my blog I share weekly videos about how busy moms can organize their time, life, and space.  I’m a mother of 2 amazing girls, a wife of the most patient man ever, and a business owner for the past 14 years.  I started my blog back in 2016 because I wanted to share with other busy moms that it is possible to organize yourself so you are not constantly reacting and you can live the life you’ve always dreamed of.

We are shown all throughout our lives that it is normal to have your children bouncing off the walls (which yes they do), have husbands that wander around the world without common sense (which sometimes they do), and not have control over your life or your family.  However, if we buy those wipes or use that vacuum everything will magically turn into the life we always dream of.

Here’s the truth.  Moms have more on their plate than any other human on the planet.  Here’s another truth.  Moms have super powers.

Don’t believe me?  I bet if your child comes in and asks where their other sock is, you’d know exactly where it’s at.  Or…your husband is looking for the mustard in the fridge and can’t find it, comes to you and tells you that “we’re out of mustard” and then you go straight to where it’s at and then hand it to him.

Moms are the only people on the planet that can know where everything is, know everyone schedules, keep their family alive, and know by the tone of your child cry exactly what they need.  So, yes, you have super powers.  You just may not feel that way because while you are getting all of those things done you are being pulled in 100 different directions.

You feel overwhelmed.  You feel unappreciated.  And you feel like you are not getting ahead.  That is why you need to organize yourself.  I’m not talking about cleaning out your closets here.  I’m talking about putting systems in place so you will have the time to clean out that closet — if you want to.  You’re probably thinking that there’s no way you have time for something like that or that it sounds easier said than done.  But it is totally possible.

Before I started my blog, I was always running 20 minutes late, always reacting the next crisis that came up.  There was never enough time to sit and relax.  If I did end up sitting down to relax I felt so guilty because there were 7,000 different things I SHOULD be doing.  Do you ever feel guilty for taking a break?  Do you feel guilty for wanting to take a break?

We, as moms, are givers.  We give and give all day long without complaining.  It’s in our DNA (okay not scientific but I’m sure if there was a “give” gene they’d find it in every mom!).

Simple, you are going to take The Busy Mom Challenge!  Yep, starting on June 12th you can take part in the LIVE Busy Mom Challenge.  (If you are seeing this after June 12th you can still take the challenge it just won’t be live.)  Oh, and the best part, it’s FREE!  So, what is The Busy Mom Challenge?  The Busy Mom Challenge is an 8-day “mini-course” each day for 8 days (starting June 12th) you will receive an email with video instruction that will organize 8 different areas of your life.  Each task will not take longer than 10 minutes to complete.

<< Yes, I’m ready to take The Busy Mom Challenge!! >>

You’ll be shown exactly what you need to do to organize yourself so you can start doing things you WANT to do.  By doing this live, you’ll join thousands of other busy moms at the same time.  Not only will you be putting system in place that will make you more organized but you’ll also have support from other busy moms.  The other busy moms who GET you and completely understand where you are coming from!

So how is that possible?  Because this challenge also comes with a community.  A closed Facebook group for busy moms.

Here’s what you can expect from The Busy Moms Challenge:

  • A new lesson each morning for 8 days
  • Daily live Q&A broadcasts — you are not alone!
  • Support from many other busy moms

Here are some areas of your life we’ll be organizing:

  • Putting things off until the last-actually completing something you’ve been putting off
  • Clear out that junk drawer
  • Making over your evenings
  • Simplifying your weekly grocery list
  • Know exactly what you do
  • What’s most important in your life
  • Creating a to-do list that you’ll finish
  • Finding time for yourself

So I know you might have a few concerns when it comes to this.  As far as the time it takes, each video is about 2-3 minutes long and the tasks that I have you do will take less than 10 minutes.  The great new is, once you add these systems that I’m sharing with you, you’ll be saving time.  Don’t you want to enjoy this summer vacation?  So maybe you’ve tried things like this in the past and haven’t gotten any results.  Here’s the thing, this challenge is different.  You don’t have to do this alone!  I’m with you the whole time.  Regardless if you are doing this live or not, the Facebook group will be there and you can get your feedback from me.

Now, I’d like for you to image what your life would look like if you were successful.  What would change?  Would you enjoy your summer vacation with your kids?  It is time to take control of your days again.

<< Yes, I’m ready for this challenge! >>

I want to thank you so much for taking the time to read this and I cannot wait to see you during this challenge.  It’s going to rock your socks right off!  If you have any further questions about this challenge, don’t hesitate to ask!
