I've had this post done for a week now and I can't wait any longer to post it! I have a niece on the way and I am super excited that I get to do all of the girly celebratory things again, including making this adorable infant tutu as a baby shower gift!
Infant Tutu Tutorial
I made this tutu similar to Riley's No Sew Highchair Tutu. The only supplies needed are Wedding Tulle and elastic that you need to hot glue at the end to create the waist.
I tried out my first piece of tulle to see if the length worked from there I cut the rest of pieces of tulle about the same length. You don't need to be precise because you can trim down the pieces one the tutu is done. Take the piece of tulle and fold it in half. Then hold the fold above the elastic.
Next, take the longer pieces and loop it over the elastic and under the folded piece above the elastic.
Pull the longer piece tight through the loop. The loop will hang down at the bottom of the skirt.
Here are all the pieces tight around the skirt.
Now the skirt is done, but I wanted to add a little something more to it.
I simply hot glued faux flowers to the outside of the tulle and there you have it, the perfect adorable present for a baby girl!

One of my first crafty projects was a no sew highchair tutu so I have a bit of an obsession with them.

Wow, this such a fabulous tutu tutorial! Definitely a project to try in the future. Hopefully by then I will learn how to sew, but this would be a great no sew project. I love all of that girly stuff. You did an awesome job on this!
