I am queen of the sides during the summer months because my husband is the grill master.  Personally, I love it that way because it means less work for me.  I try to incorporate as many fresh fruits and vegetables into our sides as humanly possible.  Recently, I had my first taste of Southern cole slaw and it was out of this world.  I loved the crispy taste of the cabbage mixed with the sweet juices of the fresh fruit.  My Southern Cole Slaw would work perfectly for any Summer cookout or barbecue and it is definitely a crowd pleaser {even for picky New Yorkers, a.k.a. my dad}.
