Southern Cole Slaw

A Southern Cole Slaw that combines a traditional cole slaw with a southern taste of pineapple and kiwi.


  • 1/2 head cabbage thinly sliced
  • 1/4 head red cabbage thinly chopped
  • 2 carrots peeled
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 kiwi thinly sliced
  • 1/2 pineapple cut into chunks


  • Prepare the carrots, green and red cabbage and combine in a large mixing bowl.
  • In a separate bowl create the dressing by mixing together the mayonnaise, sugar, celery seed and distilled vinegar.
  • Pour the mixture over the combined cabbages and carrots and toss to coat.
  • Place the pineapple and kiwi on top of the cole slaw around the outside.
  • Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.
