Red Velvet Heart Cake Cookies

Our Red Velvet Cake Cookies with a cream cheese frosting center is the perfect dessert for your sweet.

  • 1 box red velvet cake mix
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 oz cream cheese at room temperature
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cup confectioners sugar


  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or coconut oil.
  • Mix together red velvet cake mix, flour, eggs, vegetable oil and vanilla.
  • Roll the cookies into tablespoon size and drop onto the cookie sheet.
    Bake 8 - 10 minutes.
  • Let the cookies cool for about 5 minutes so that they are still warm, but not too soft and use the heart shaped cookie cutter to shape the cookies.
  • To make the frosting cream together the cream cheese and butter that are at room temperature and add in the vanilla.
  • Add in the confectioners sugar one cup at a time.
    To assemble the cookies simply spread a decent glob of frosting on one cookie and place the top down on it.
