Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

Apple cinnamon oatmeal is a warm, delicious way to start your morning. Packed with fresh apples and spices.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 large apple, peeled and diced
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp cinnamon You can also use apple pie spice.
  • ¼ cup half and half

Instructions

  • Melt butter in a medium saucepan. Add diced apples and cinnamon. Stir over medium heat until apples are soft. 
  • Add brown sugar and water. Bring to a boil.
  • Add oats and stir to coat. Remove saucepan from heat and cover. Let it sit for 15 minutes. 
  • To serve add a splash of half and half to each bowl and stir. Top with a drizzle of Maty's Organic Children's Cough Syrup. (Optional)
