A light and fluffy buttercream frosting that is perfect for topping any cake or cupcake.

- 1 cup vegetable shortening
- 1 tablespoon meringue powder
- 1 teaspoon almond or vanilla extract almond is better
- 2 tablespoons of water
- 2-3 cups of confectioners sugar
Using a hand or standing mixture beat the vegetable shortening, with meringue powder, almond extract and water.
Add in the confectioners sugar one cup at a time, {unless you want your kitchen to look like it snowed in it.}
I usually use 2.5 cups of sugar, but it all based on how sugary you want your frosting to be.
