Carolina Slaw Dogs with a Twist

Ingredients

  • 6 brats
  • 12 strips maple glazed bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • ¼ cup shredded red cabbage
  • ¼ cup shredded carrots
  • 1 tbsp minced onion
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 6 hot dog rolls

Instructions

  • Wrap two slice of bacon around each brat and secure the bacon with a toothpick.
  • Cook the bacon wrapped brats on a hot charcoal grill for 20 - 30 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the slaw by combining the cabbages, carrots and onion.
  • Add in the mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar and oil and mix well.
    Refrigerate the slaw while the brats continue to cook.
  • Once the brats are done, place each one in a hot dog roll and cover with slaw.
