Servings 0

Ingredients

  • Pillsbury Moist Supreme Devil's Food Cake Mix
  • caramel square
  • 2 bags of Milky Way Bites
  • one stick of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of confectioners sugar

Instructions

  • These Milky Way Cupcakes come together in a cinch.  For the cake party of the cupcake you'll need Pillsbury Moist Supreme Devil's Food Cake Mix. You'll want to prepare the cake batter according to the directions on the box, but before sticking them in the oven you'll add a caramel square to the center of them {just like a Milky Way}.  While the cupcakes are baking you'll need to prepare the frosting.  The frosting is definitely what puts these cupcakes over the top and largely because of the ease of using Milky Way Bites.
  • For the frosting, add 2 bags of Milky Way Bites {14 oz total} to a saucepan over medium heat.  While the Bites are beginning to melt add in one stick of butter {½ cup}, 2 tablespoons of milk and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.  Constantly mix over medium high heat so that everything is melted and combined well. It will look like the consistency of hot fudge.  Next, transfer the melted mixture to a mixing bowl and add in 1 cup of confectioners sugar.  Mix this and then add in another 1 ½ cups of confectioners sugar.  The frosting at this point is combined, but still warm so pop it in the refrigerator until the cupcakes are cooled.  I would keep the frosting in the refrigerator for at least 30 - 45 minutes.  Now simply pipe the frosting onto the top of the cooled cupcake and top with a Milky Way Bite.
