Ingredients
2cuphalf & half
2cupmilkdivided
2eggs
1tspvanilla
1 ⅓cupbutter flavored cake mix
2-3tbspsprinkles
Instructions
Add the half and half, 1 cup milk, eggs and sugar to a saucepan. Heat up over medium heat until the mixture just starts to steam. Don't let it boil. Whisk or stir the entire time, it is only a few minutes. Remove from heat.
Add the cake mix and remaining 1 cup milk to a bowl. Whisk until it is all combined. Add the vanilla. Stir it all into the hot mixture. Whisk until combined. Put in refrigerator until thoroughly chilled.
When mixture is cold, you can make the ice cream according to the directions for your ice cream maker. Freeze the ice cream for several hours before eating. Right before serving stir in the sprinkles.
