Ingredients
2 lbgreen beanssteamed
1medium sized onionsliced
2clovegarlicminced
2tbspolive oil
28oztomato sauce
15ozdiced tomatoes
1tspsalt
½tsppepper
½tspgarlic powder
Instructions
In a skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and onions. Cook onions 3-4 minutes, or until they start to become tender. Add garlic and cook another minute.
Add green beans to the pan and stir well to combine. Add tomato sauce and diced tomatoes and seasonings. Stir well and cover.
Let cook for 30-40 minutes, or until green beans are very tender and the tomato sauce has cooked down and thickened. Stir every 10 minutes or so. Before serving, check for seasonings and add more salt and pepper if desired.
