Easy Valentine Tree

I love simple crafts, especially when it involves Valentine’s Day.  My Easy Valentine Tree is a cinch with minimum supplies.

Valentine Tree Decor

For the Valentine Tree I used a leftover string of holly berries from Christmas that I placed inside a bud vase that I had purchased to put together my Pinwheel Planter.  The finishing touches on the tree were the glitter foam heart stickers on Kraft gift tags.

You thought I was going to try to sneak out after showing my cute little Valentine Tree, but you thought wrong!  Did you notice the cute picture frame next to it.  I painted an oak wood frame with red paint and placed an extra felt glitter heart sticker on the corner of the frame.  The five windows that are in the picture frame are perfect for my soon to be family of four.  Don’t you just love the ultra sound picture of baby girl #2?

Tree with Valentine Picture Frame

I was recently looking back on posts and found my “A Rocking Chair” from last January where I openly shared my trials with infertility when we were trying to conceive Riley.  One of the last sentences in this post, “I don’t want to lose myself in the anguish and disappointment of trying” still brings tears to my eyes knowing how truly lucky and blessed I am to have conceived this baby without ever trying.  Everything happens for a reason is a statement that I truly believe.  Valentine’s Day for me is a time to remember and reflect upon the loves in your life and for which I am so truly fortunate for.

    • Thanks Randi. Writing that post and looking back to last year brought me back to all of the feelings of disappointment that I tried to squash and makes me appreciate this pregnancy so much more.

I have those exact same berries! I took mine apart to use as ornaments, but this will be an excuse to go get more! Thanks for linking up to my party!

    • That was my original reason for having them too. I used them to make cupcake ornaments for Riley’s birthday party. One suggestion for your facebook party that you might find helpful is to have people post a full size image with their link right on your wall, rather than in your comments. It makes it easier for you and others to share their posts on Facebook. The food bloggers do it this way. They’re all about images!

  9. Love this idea. Simply enough that I could even do it! Thanks for sharing on Thursdays Treasures.
