Cupcake Fairy Theme Party Ideas

Most of you have probably noticed our love for cupcakes here at the Melrose household.  Riley LOVES cupcakes.  I swear she would eat a cupcake for breakfast, lunch and dinner if we would let her.  Since the end of the school year we've made...
 American Flag Cupcakes

35th Anniversary Cupcakes

Blueberry Lemonade Cupcakes

Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes
It all stems from Riley's LOVE of the children's story The Cupcake Fairy.  I'm brainstorming ideas for Riley's 3rd birthday already so we tried out a couple of crafts to see how they might work as party activities. I picked up a large cupcake stamp and let her go to town.  We added pom poms as sprinkles to her finished creation.

While I was at Hobby Lobby I had seen a hat box that was a cupcake.  So Riley and I made our own.  I used large white pipe cleaners as the icing and pom poms for the sprinkles.  I'm not quite sure how we would use it, but it just so cute I couldn't resist.  We also made magic wands, which if you missed the tutorial for them you can find it here.

I'm pretty sure we'll be going with a cupcake fairy theme for her birthday party.  Everything was such a huge hit with her that I'd be crazy not to stick with it.
