Golden Fall Pumpkins

September 24, 2012 by Jenny 3 Comments

At our Fall Tasting Party a couple of weeks ago, I let the food do the majority of the talking, but I added two accent pieces to each edge of the table.  I created simple golden fall pumpkins that brought height behind the mini apple pies.

My golden pumpkins were created from clay orange pumpkins.  I painted the pumpkins with white acrylic paint and sprinkled gold glitter over the top while the paint was still wet.  The finishing touch was a maroon chiffon ribbon that matched the table runner.

I love how simple the pumpkins turned out.  The best part is that using the acrylic paint made it easy to upcycle the pumpkins again.  I can't wait to share the upcycle!

The pumpkins are adorable. I am a fan of white pumpkins, too. The gold glitter adds some extra sparkle.
