Riley started preschool this year and I, being the Cupcake Queen, was super excited to make a fun Halloween Cupcake. Unfortunately, her school has a strict policy about only allowing packaged food because of severe nut allergies that some of the students have. I knew I wanted to come up with something food related and I even stayed away from tons of sugar for once. My Pumpkin Fruit Cups are easy to put together and super cute.
Pumpkin Fruit Cups
The supplies needed for the Pumpkin Fruit Cups are Del Monte Mandarin Orange Fruit Cups, a Sharpie and witch hats. I had every intention of making my own witch hats, but changed my mind on the way up to the register when I saw these adorable hats at Michaels. They are meant for wreath, which is the reason for the stick on the end of it. The hats were the perfect size for the cups.
I simply created my pumpkin face by drawing it onto the fruit cup with the Sharpie. A quick tip is that the marker will work best if the fruit cup is at room temperature so take the cups out and let them sit for about five to ten minutes before you try to draw on them. The final step is to remove the stick from the witch hat.
How perfect are these? It was as if the hats were made for the fruit cups. I just love when something adorable comes together with minimal worker. These Pumpkin Fruit Cups would be perfect as a Halloween Party Favor as well. Hold the candy and give some fruit!
