For the Halloween Season as part of a sponsored post for Collective Bias and Fiskars Champions for Kids, I created these adorable Witch Cupcake Toppers. You'll be shocked at how easy these are to make and they're perfect for any Halloween celebration at home or in school.
Witch Cupcake Toppers
The best part about these Witch Cupcake Toppers are that I was able to use my absolute favorite crafting supply, the Waters Border Punch by Fiskars. I love being able to use my punches from Fiskars, but was even more excited to find that this Fiskars art tool is part of the Fiskars Champions for Kids Program. The program seeks to mobilize people to donate crafting supplies to a local school or organization. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to create my own donation basket filled with Fiskars craft scissors, art scissors, punches, glue and markers to give to the Mill Street Loft After School Program that works with the students in my high needs school district. This program works tirelessly within my schools community to provide an art experience for students that is seriously delinquent due to budget cuts. I created two of these baskets overflowing with supplies that my students will have the opportunity to use during and after school, so it's a win, win.
The students I work with do not have access to art supplies at home. They often even lack crayons and markers because art is not a high priority. Consequently, these students do not have the ability to express themselves creatively and often struggle academically as well. The Mill Street Loft Program and the donation from Fiskars Champion for Kids provide many of my struggling students an opportunity to succeed creatively. You can become involved as well! Simply gather together art supplies and donate them to your local school organization or create your own craft using Fiskars art supplies and be inspired by their Pinterest board.
I love the fact that the crafting supplies by Fiskars make it easy enough for Riley to use and be a part of creating these cupcakes for her upcoming Halloween celebration at school. We used the Water Border Punch to create the witch boots, which we then glued to polka dot scrapbook legs. The finishing touch was to add the legs to a toothpick and place it into a sweet cupcake.
The ease of creating the Witch Legs Cupcake Topper made it so much sweeter to choose one of my signature cupcakes because there was very little time spent decorating the cupcakes and the icing didn't have to look gorgeous because your eyes are drawn to those legs sticking straight up in the air.
