We recently had a baby shower for the couple who I created our Bridal Shower Candle Poem Basket for and Riley was their flower girl in their wedding. I couldn't just get something off of their registry because that would be way too easy. Instead, I created the Best Baby Gifts EVER! Seriously, the BEST because they'll cherish the photos forever. These monthly onesies are not only adorable but they are so easy. Plus, I'm giving you the free printable because that's just how much I love all of you!
Best Baby Gifts: Monthly Onesies
To create these onsies you'll need 11 onesies. I made 12 and just put their last name on the last one. For my girls' first birthdays I like to have them in something super cute so a onesie for their first birthday is just not going to make the cut. I purchased the onesies in packs of 4 and bought a 3 month size {Months 1 - 4} 6 month size {Months 5 - 8} and 12 moth size {Months 9 - 12}. I then created my printable which is free for you to download. If you decide to create your own printable make sure to create a mirror image of it before you print it onto the heat transfer sheets. I was able to get four months per sheet which fit perfectly onto the onesies. If you're not familiar with using heat transfer sheets, be sure to check out my Garden Flag Tutorial, which shows you how to use them.
I also made a purple Infant Tutu to go along with the onesies. They are so simple to make and just make the whole outfit so much cuter. I wish I could say that the idea for these onesies was mine, but my sister-in-law made something similar for Avery after my botched attempted at Stenciled Monthly Onesies for her. Luckily, she didn't mind because I pulled off an adorable Teddy Bear Baby Shower for her, which included a clothesline of outfits, Lollipop Washcloth Centerpieces and a Teddy Bear Diaper Cake with all the trimmings.
There's just something about creating that perfect gift that makes everyone else swoon. You can always tell if your gift has made the cut.

Love this idea! your printables have the Lansange name on them.. do you have a printable with 12months or 1 year instead of your custom name?

That only works if you don't have a "large" baby my three year old wore 2t by one and wears 5t now, save your money print me the sheets and I'll do it myself as they won't fit if you plan on my kid wearin 12 months at 1

I love this idea. But for some reason, I can't find the link to the free printable template. Am I crazy or am I an overworked mother of two small children 🙂 ? Please help me!!!!

Go back up to where she is talking about how to create the onesies. You will notice the months (1-4) (5-8) (9-12) are in purple. Click on that and it will open the printable.

Oh this is a GREAT idea. I've never seen this before, as a gift. My LO is 10 months almost, and that's one thing I would have liked! It's too late now, obviously, unless I make some really cheesy t-shirts for his first 18 birthdays (hehe). Actually....
I need to remember this one: I think that's something that just about any mamas would appreciate for that first year!
