Do you have sugar plums dancing in your heads yet?  The last thing I want to worry about Christmas morning is what I'm making for breakfast.  I want my girls to be able to tear down the stairs with me close on their heels.  I want to see every tear of paper as Avery opens her Christmas gifts for the first time on her own. In order to do that I'm deciding well in advance what will be on the menu for Christmas breakfast so that I'm present during every little squeal of joy.  I want you to be able to do the same so I put together the perfect collection of Christmas Breakfast Ideas that are delicious and easy!

Christmas Breakfast Ideas

Berry Rudolph Waffles

These waffles are always a hit in my house. They are super cute and super easy to make; which means you won't miss a minute of the fun on Christmas morning. You can take several shortcuts with these since if don't have a waffle maker or even if you prefer to use store bought waffle mix. Either way, you can never go wrong with the savory & sweet combo of bacon and waffles!

Apple Cider Muffins

Yup, these muffins are just as good as they sound! And although the name makes it seem like they are complicated to make, they are actually SUPER easy! The base is simply a store bought apple cake mix and then the biggest trick is to substitute apple cider for the water listed in the recipe instructions. Give the recipe a try and then be ready to win the Mom of the Year award come breakfast-time on Christmas morning!

Reindeer Donuts

These chocolate covered reindeer donuts are another super easy Christmas breakfast idea. Basically, you start with some plain store bought donuts and then dress them up with melted chocolate, pretzels for antlers and some decorative eyes and a mouth. You can have these done in minutes and they are the perfect treat for a holiday breakfast.

Banana Bread Muffins

For the last two recipes in my Christmas breakfast ideas, I'm putting two tried & true recipes. These banana bread muffins are a household favorite and one of the most popular recipes on my site. They are easy to make and taste like a million bucks. We eat them as snacks in my house but I almost always make them for breakfast on Christmas morning. Give them a try and I promise they'll become a Christmas tradition in your household too!

Simple Mixed Berry Overnight Oats

Okay, this last holiday breakfast recipe idea is not just a favorite amongst my readers, but it's also on the healthy side! If you think you need to balance all the donuts, waffles and muffins with something more healthy, then this is the breakfast idea for you! In addition, though it sounds complicated with the word "overnight" in the title, these oats are actual super easy to make and will leave your kids asking for more!

Getting ready for Christmas Morning Breakfast

I love this time of year when the holidays are upon us, and it's Christmas morning is so much fun now that we have little ones in the house. I almost forgot how exciting Christmas morning could be as a kid; waking up to the smell of a freshly baked breakfast and just knowing you've got so many surprises waiting for you downstairs! If you want to steal a bit of the thunder away from Santa, then try some of these breakfast ideas on your Christmas morning this year and I promise they'll quickly become a Christmas tradition!

Happy Holidays!

Hi, I've subscribed to your site and received your Merry Christmas email. Thanks for the good wishes and I wish you and your family a wonderful and safe time for the holidays and for next year.

In your email there were lots of lovely things to make. I have clicked on one of the pictures thinking I would find what is named the Havarti and Herb Breakfast Bread but can't find it. Is that available as it looks wonderful and I can almost smell it. M
