Last week I shared with you my tutorial on how to make a tulle pom pom and I promised that I would show you how we used them for Avery’s first birthday. I shared that we used them as gift toppers for the playdough party favors and decorations as a pom pom garland, but I also alluded to something a bit more. I went with a Fairy theme for her party and what fairy wouldn’t adore a Fairy Magic Wand? Especially one as sweet as these?!

I used your tutorial to make the pompous and have moved on to making the wand for center pieces at my daughters sweet sixteen party. I had already bought wood dowels 1/8 in x 12 in. Do I need larger dowels to use the 1/4 in nail you are referring to? What size dowels did you use?

Well, every fairy needs a gorgeous wand, and these are stunning! Great work!! 🙂

Stopping by from Kitchen Fun & Crafty Friday link party. My friend is having a “Fairy and Gnome” party for her daughter in a few weeks and these would be perfect. They are so adorable. Pinning! Thanks for sharing.
