Can you believe that Summer is just about over?!  Crazy, right?  Well, to help you make those last days of Summer just a little bit more magical I've put together Magic Wand Fruit Kabobs that will have your princesses or princes singing your praises.

Magic Wand Fruit Kabobs

Magic Wand Fruit Kabobs

For the Magic Wand Fruit Kabobs we use strawberries, grapes, and watermelon on bamboo skewers.  You can use any combination of fruit, but I would recommend using watermelon so that you create the star for the top of the kabob.  In order to create the star out of the watermelon, slice the watermelon to be about two inches thick.  You'll then press a star-shaped cookie cutter into the flesh of the watermelon.

Magic Wand Fruit Kabobs Supplies

Riley loves this snack not only because it looks like a princess's wand, but also because she gets to assemble the fruit kabobs.  As a teacher, I try to stress early learning skills with Riley so I ask her to create a pattern with the fruit.  I always make sure to supply her with an even amount of fruit to make the pattern easier.

Magic Wand Fruit Kabobs Assembly

Riley loves eating the fruit right off of the stick.  It's a bit more fun that way.

Magic Wand Fruit Kabobs Consumption

We made these for Riley's third birthday party, which was a Cupcake Fairy Birthday Party inspired by Camilla the Cupcake Fairy.  After you finish your snack, you'll be ready to dive right into my Magic Wand Tutorial.

We also have a variation for 4th of July Fruit Sparklers do check them out.
