Santa Belt Tissue Box Cover

One of my absolute favorite things to decorate with for Christmas is Santa's belt.  I love the gold buckle against the black of the leather belt.  The entire decor of our downstairs bathroom is Santa's belt, but I didn't have a tissue box cover.  So, I jumped to Youtube.

I found a fabulous tutorial by Cookiestamper that used card stock paper and glue!  My kind of project!  I used red glitter card stock, which gave it just a little more shimmer.  You'll need to start with two pieces of card stock that measure 5 ⅛ X 9 ½ inches.  At ½ inch and 5 inches score the paper so that there is a fold.  On the top fold of the ½ inch use a glue stick and place glue along it.  The glued side should be attached to the other 5 inch side.  Then glue the other ½ inch side to the other side.  The card stock for the top cover should measure 6 9/16 inches.  At one inch on every side score the paper and then cut into the next crease on all four sides.  Fold the sides down and glue all four sides down.  Cut a circle in the top for the tissues to come out of.  Finally, glue the top down on top of the base.

I added a black glitter belt with a gorgeous gold buckle.  I couldn't be happier with the way it came out.  You'd think I bought it with the rest of the decor.

I love this picture because it's all pieces that were mish-moshed together to fit with the rest of the decor.  As you can tell, I use our downstairs bathroom to do my hair and makeup in the morning.  This way Riley has access to the downstairs and we don't wake Joe up in the morning as we're getting ready for school.

This bathroom is a half bath so I didn't have a ton of room so I tried to incorporate the entire room by using the mirror to show you how the decor is pulled all together.

I love the holidays just because of the fun decor that comes out.  You should have seen Riley's face when she first saw the bathroom.  Absolute awe!

Love that you made the tissue cover out of cardstock. Really makes your bathroom look so festive. I saw you on Lady Behind the Curtain. Would love for you to share tonight on Thursdays Treasures. Link opens at 8pm

Oh I love it, I have been really lazy with decor this year, the fact your bathroom is done makes me feel ashamed. Great tissue box and awesome bathroom
