Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie

I hope everyone had a fabulous 4th of July.  We did a ton of swimming and relaxing.  Whimsy Wednesdays is live so if you get a sec stop on over and share!  I originally shared this over at Here's What I Think About That, but I wanted to make sure I shared it here as well because it is such a fabulously healthy smoothie.  I've been trying out a bunch of new recipes to use up those fabulous strawberries that we picked.  Riley's favorite were the Belgian chocolate cream cheese filled brownie topped with strawberry sauce.  I even made strawberry jam without pectin for my first time ever of making jam.  Today I'm here to share a strawberry pineapple smoothie that is out of this world!  It's so simple and refreshing.

Your ingredients are:
10 strawberries hulled and cut in half
1 cup of pineapple chopped
½ cup of pineapple juice
1 tablespoon of honey
handful of ice

Everything gets placed into the blender and you want to pulse it.  You want it to look like a slushy, since a handful isn't very scientific, just add more ice to get it to the consistency you're looking for.  This recipe yielded two eight ounce size glasses and one kids cup with straw size.

She clearly loved it.  If you get a chance stop on over and say hi.  We are off for the summer so there will be a ton of posts.  You can also find me on Twitter, Facebook and Bloglovin.
