Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes

July 2, 2012 by Jenny 23 Comments

So I'm sure you all know about Riley's affinity for cupcakes.  I needed an excuse to try Duncan Hines Frosting Creations so I decided to give it a try with my nephew coming over to spend the day with Riley.  I didn't want to make plain old cupcakes so I went with an ice cream cone baking pan from William Sonoma.  I used Funfetti cake mix to give it an added little kick.  We tried the cotton candy frosting and Riley and Aidan definitely gave it two thumbs up.

I used the 1M tip to give the frosting that soft serve look of ice cream.  I also added some sprinkles.  It's a perfect summer time treat that won't melt everywhere.

Although melting is clearly not an issue when all you do is suck off the frosting!

And we clearly still know how to make a mess!

Last van erectiestoornissen?

I've tried making cupcake cones by baking them in actual cones, and it never works! I'll have to try this idea.

I'm hosting my first linky party "One Creative Weekend" at OneCreativeMommy.com. I'd love for you to visit and link up this idea or anything else you'd like to share.
