We are celebrating Riley’s 4th birthday this weekend with a Shabby Chic Birthday Party.  I am so excited to share our Princess Party Favors because they are the perfect favor gift for the princesses and princes in your life.  The best part is that these favor gifts come together with minimal supplies as necklaces and pins that would even make a great stocking stuffer.

Princess Party Favors

One of the difficult things about planning a little girl’s birthday party is that you have to take into consideration that there will most likely be boys attending.  Especially, if you have a nephew who is only nine months younger.  Consequently, I have to get a bit creative when it comes to my party favors  because Riley loves girly party themes.  Last year, it was a Cupcake Fairy Party complete with magic wands and cupcake ornaments.  This year it’s all about Princesses so I created the perfect Princess Party Favors for the princes in attendance with my glitter pins.

Princess Party Favor Supplies

The supplies are easy to find and so much fun to use.  You’ll need Mod Podge Extreme Glitter, a paintbrush, Mod Podge Podgeable Shapes, gem stones and pins as well as hot glue.  I found all of my supplies at my local Michaels and one of the associates got a good laugh from me when I tried to explain the type of pin I was looking for.  It was not pretty!  He knew exactly where to find them though {jewelry aisle}.

Princess Party Favors Tutorial

You’ll start out by brushing a thin layer of the Mod Podge Extreme Glitter across the Mod Podge Podgeable Shapes.  Make sure that the layer is thin.  Otherwise, you’ll end up with areas where it looks like glue, rather than glitter.

Princess Party Favors Pin

Brush another thin layer over the back of the gem stone and place it down on the Mod Podge Podgeable Shape.  The Podgeable Shapes are fabulous because they not only come in all different shapes, but half of them also come with a hole already in the top so you can make necklaces for the princesses at the party as well.

Once the glitter has dried and the Podgeable Shape is translucent the glitter will sparkle.  You can then hot glue the pin to the back of the Podgeable Shape.  Riley loves how sparkly they are and I’m pretty sure even my nephew will like the pins.

Princess Party Favors Pins and Necklaces

I couldn’t share something sparkly and pretty and not have something pretty for you.   I’m so excited to offer you the chance to win two of these gorgeous Infinity Chain Bracelets from Blue Nile.  There’s one that you can give as a gift and one for you too!
